2024 has been a pivotal year for the longevity field. From significant investments rippling through stock exchanges to documentaries educating the public on streaming platforms, and even impassioned speeches in the House of Lords, longevity has never been more front and center.

But as the saying goes, it takes a village. In the case of extending the healthy life of billions, it takes a whole planet (perhaps even more?).

At Rejuve.AI, we’re well aware of this. That's why we are dedicated to traveling the globe, sharing our research, forging new partnerships, and connecting with emerging thought leaders who can help propel the field forward.

One of the best ways to accomplish all of the above is by attending conferences. These gatherings allow us to engage with the brightest minds, exchange ideas, and stay on top of the latest advancements in geroscience.

In that spirit, 2024 was a particularly exciting year for us, as we participated in a series of brilliant conferences all around the world.

So, for the second year in a row, we’re thrilled to recap our favorite health and longevity conferences of the year. Some were focused solely on longevity, while others had a broader scope, but all were absolutely enriching.

Without further ado, let’s relive the highlights. (Note: The conferences are listed in chronological order, not in terms of preference; we enjoyed them all equally.)

1- Longevity Summit Dublin 2024 | June 13-16 | Dublin, Ireland

We were thrilled to return for the third annual Longevity Summit Dublin, right in the heart of the city. Spanning four days, the event showcased top-tier speakers and cutting-edge ideas.

The summit was held in collaboration with the Longevity Escape Velocity Foundation (LEVF). Naturally, its founder, Dr. Aubrey de Grey, took the stage once again to provide an update on his Robust Mouse Rejuvenation project, an ambitious effort to test combinations of life-extending interventions.

The summit also showcased significant advancements on the tech side. Sally Ann Frank, the Worldwide Health and Life Sciences Lead at Microsoft for Startups, gave an insightful talk, while leading AI advisor Tom Lawry, a previous guest of Healthspan Horizons, discussed the intersection of AI and longevity.

In addition to exhibiting, we participated in a live session where Rejuve.AI CEO Jasmine Smith was interviewed by John Sheehan, Chairman of Innovation at AIMS Summit. Jasmine shared her personal journey in healthcare, describing how her experiences with its reactionary systems inspired her role at Rejuve.AI. She also told the audience about the Rejuve Longevity App, which combines AI, blockchain, and longevity science to pave the way for decentralized wellness.

2- HLTH Europe 2024 | June 17-20 | Amsterdam, The Netherlands

After Dublin, we headed straight to Amsterdam for the inaugural HLTH Europe summit. Europe has long been a birthplace of healthcare transformation, so it was fitting that this first-of-its-kind event gathered providers, investors, entrepreneurs, government representatives, and other professionals—all under the HLTH umbrella, known for pushing the boundaries of health innovation in the U.S.

The event attracted participants from over 50 countries and featured over 300 speakers representing global leaders such as Google Health, Bayer, Mayo Clinic, and Singapore's National University Health System.

Discussions spanned a broad range of riveting topics, including the use of ChatGPT for patient health counseling, the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, the healthcare sector's role in addressing global warming, and so much more.

Our own Jasmine contributed to a pivotal panel on healthcare innovations across borders, where she highlighted the importance of global health equity. She discussed how Rejuve.AI strives to bridge healthcare disparities worldwide, emphasizing the power of AI and decentralized wellness solutions.

The summit also proved invaluable for networking. We built new connections, explored potential collaborations, and strengthened relationships with existing partners like Garmin and Purovitalis.

3- Aging Research and Drug Discovery Meeting (ARDD) 2024 | August 26-30 | Copenhagen, Denmark

rejuve-ardd

The 11th annual Aging Research and Drug Discovery (ARDD) Meeting in 2024 marked our first experience at this prestigious conference, and it was nothing short of exceptional. It’s hard to put into words just how star-studded this five-day event was, but let’s just say, it felt like the Coachella of longevity research (yes, we think longevity scientists are as cool as your favorite musical artists).

The event featured researchers from renowned institutions such as the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, the National University of Singapore, and Harvard Medical School. It covered every corner of longevity science, showcasing groundbreaking advancements in aging research.

In addition to exhibiting, we had the privilege of presenting our scientific poster titled "Emergent Truths in Longevity via Decentralized AI Framework: AI-Driven Synthesis and the Physics of Aging." The poster showcased how our decentralized AI platform integrates crowdsourced data, advanced AI models, and biophysical simulations to better understand aging. It also explored novel frontiers like quantum computing and its potential role in aging research.

We're pretty sure every attendee would agree that a highlight of the conference was the nightly after-sessions at Bar7, the ARDD’s official networking bar. Our leadership engaged in fascinating discussions with longevity pioneers well into the evening.

And who could forget the moment when ARDD co-founder Dr. Alex Zhavoronkov proposed live on stage to fellow organizer Dominika Wilczok? It encapsulated the meeting's perfect blend of science and heart—a true longevity moment for the ages.

4- International Longevity Summit Africa 2024 | October 24-25 | Lagos, Nigeria

rejuve-ilsa

One of the most meaningful events in the longevity field for us at Rejuve.AI is the International Longevity Summit Africa (ILSA), organized by Afrolongevity. Last year, the summit in Johannesburg highlighted Africa's growing role in advancing longevity research, and this year, the stakes were even higher.

Held at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria, the summit hosted distinguished guests such as Nigeria's Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, and Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare at the Federal Ministry of Health.

Under the theme “Unlocking Revolutionary Health & Med-Tech Vistas for Human Longevity and Well-Being,” the event brought together such government officials with scientists, clinicians, and aesthetic doctors to share advancements in aging and wellness.

We're particularly fond of ILSA 2024, as it marked a shining moment for Rejuve.AI tech team members Yared Solomon and Yonatan Cherkos, who led the charge and presented how we are pioneering decentralized longevity research and the opportunity this presents for Africa. Their presentation was instrumental in furthering our commitment to advancing longevity science on the continent and solidifying Rejuve.AI’s role in this important movement.

5- MedTech Malta 2024 | November 6-8 | Valletta, Malta

rejuve-medtech-malta

The MedTech Malta 2024 conference, held in gorgeous Valletta, brought together over 3,000 attendees from across medicine, technology, and investment. As the flagship event of MedTech World, it highlighted Malta’s rising role as a global hub for medical innovation, driven by strategic investments and its unique geographical position.

Dr. John Thomson Smith, Senior Medical Advisor at Rejuve.AI, joined an international panel titled “Personalized Medicine: The Key to Longevity". Discussions emphasized early disease detection, tailored treatments, and the importance of focusing on healthspan alongside lifespan. The panel also explored decentralized healthcare data as a tool to democratize personalized insights for longevity.

Throughout the conference, the dominant message was that data is the "new oil", with blockchain and AI playing key roles in democratizing healthcare. The discussions focused on empowering individuals to own their healthcare data, using it to optimize healthspan and lifespan through personalized medicine and preventative care.

Dr. Smith noted the event’s diversity—uniting surgeons, genetic engineers, and tech leaders—offering a collaborative view on how cutting-edge technologies can empower individuals to live longer, healthier lives.

Bonus Entry #1:

DeSci & bio/acc Summit | September 16 | Singapore

rejuve-desci-singapore

The DeSci & bio/acc Summit in Singapore lands a spot as a bonus entry on the list only because it wasn't exclusively focused on health. It highlighted how decentralized technologies can empower researchers and change the way scientific progress is made across the board, not just longevity.

Organized by VitaDAO, the event took place amidst the festivities of the TOKEN2049 crypto forum and brought together stellar projects and leading voices like Bryan Johnson, Dr. Aubrey de Grey, and Dr. Ben Goertzel. Jasmine represented Rejuve.AI, sharing our plan to accelerate longevity research.

Bonus Entry #2:

Zelar City | October 7-November 17 | Berlin, Germany

rejuve-zelar

The rise of pop-up longevity cities like Zelar in Berlin is yet another sign of the aforementioned growth of the longevity field. Zelar extends far beyond the scope of our list, being much more than a single conference—it was almost like a rehearsal of what a future of longevity could look like for all of us.

Over six weeks, Zelar brought together top entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors to collaborate on breakthroughs in aging and disease prevention. Jasmine joined the city for the Healthspan Optimization and AI Summit, where she discussed the challenges and opportunities of navigating healthspan in the 21st century.

Here's to 2025

Our fondest takeaway from all these incredible trips is that progress in longevity is emerging from every corner of the globe.

This feels right because the desire to live healthier for longer is a universal aspiration. No one should be left behind, and at Rejuve.AI, we are committed to ensuring equitable access to healthspan-extending breakthroughs through a collaborative and inclusive ecosystem.

With all this excitement behind us, it feels like we’re only just getting started. The movement is gaining momentum, and we know it will go even further in the years to come. We’re eager to see what lies ahead and look forward to sharing insights, forging new partnerships, and witnessing innovation in the many extraordinary conferences to come in 2025.
